Fabricator / CNC

If you enjoy mechanical challenges, equipment set-up, using hand tools, and measuring instruments, and have an eye for details, a career as a CNC Operator may be right for you!

What is It?

A CNC is a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine that uses programming to operate tools. It takes a raw material (metal, plastic, etc.) and cuts, grinds, drills, turns, mills, or shapes it into parts that meet exact specifications. In the residential construction trades, a Fabricator or CNC Operator often specializes in countertops and surfaces.
